How to Donate Your Car
- Fill out the donation form online or by calling (877) 957-2277. We’ll ask for some information about your car and where it will be picked up.
- A towing agent will contact you within 2-3 business days to schedule a pick up time.
- After your car is sold, you will be emailed a tax receipt.

Why do people donate cars?
People donate cars to save children's lives and support patients' families so they can focus on what matters most: caring for their sick child. Funds raised from your donation provide the nation's best pediatric care to children in every state and 100 countries, and fuel research breakthroughs that are shared to help children worldwide.
What vehicles can be donated?
Car donations are welcome any time of year. We accept almost all running and non-running cars. We do ask that your car have at least two inflated tires and be in a tow accessible location, such as a driveway or on a street. Trucks, motorcycles, boats, planes, snowmobiles, heavy machinery, trailers and RVs are accepted on a case-by-case basis. What paperwork is needed to donate my car?
You’ll need to have a clear title in order to complete your car donation. If you can’t find your title, you’ll have to apply for a duplicate title through your state’s Department of Motor Vehicles. Instructions on how to sign your Massachusetts title over to our vehicle processing agent, Advanced Remarketing Services, can be found here or you can call our processing center at (877) 957-2277 and a customer service representative can walk you through the process.
How much money will Boston Children’s Hospital receive from my car donation?
Our authorized agent, Advanced Remarketing Services, returns on average 80% of the gross proceeds from the sale of your car donation, the highest of any vehicle donation program.
Will I receive a tax receipt?
Within 30 days of the sale of your vehicle, you'll be emailed a tax receipt for your car donation. If your car sold for over $500, you can claim the full selling price when you itemize taxes. If it sold for less than $500, you can claim the fair market value up to $499.
