Face-to-Face Fundraising at Boston Children’s Hospital

To help kids and families at Boston Children’s find lifesaving answers, we employ professional fundraisers from Threshold Giving. Our face-to-face fundraising partners have meaningful conversations with people like you.

Why face-to-face fundraising?

Face-to-Face fundraising allows us to answer your questions as they arise and help generous folks like you to understand the urgent need for support. It’s also one of the most cost-effective and efficient ways for us to reach many people at once, ensuring donations go even further to help kids facing illness.

Boston Children’s Hospital fundraisers in your community

You may encounter fundraisers representing Boston Children’s Hospital on busy streets in and around Boston. Our fundraisers approach people in order to build our membership base by signing up donors for recurring gifts on a monthly or annual basis (like a subscription). Your generosity is a reliable source of support that gives lifesaving answers and hope to kids in your community and all over the world.

Our fundraisers use iPads to collect the donor's information and their first gift is processed immediately upon joining.

Our process is Payment Card Industry compliant and all of our donors' information is uploaded to a secure server to ensure their privacy is protected and data is secure.

How to identify a Boston Children’s Hospital fundraiser

Boston Children’s fundraisers are equipped with:

  • Boston Children’s-branded photo ID badge worn around the neck with a BCH lanyard
  • Boston Children’s-branded blue polo shirt or vest
  • iPad with Boston Children’s-branded dashboard and application page

If you meet one of our representatives, please take the opportunity to learn more about how you can help save kids’ lives, the crucial hospital programs you can support and the tremendous difference you can make by becoming a recurring donor.

Why give monthly or annually?

Convenience: Giving through recurring donations is a convenient way to include generosity in your budget. Instead of giving a large amount all at once, you can set-up smaller, regular contributions that won't disrupt your plans.

Impact: You'll receive updates throughout the year on how you're helping kids and families heal and thrive.

Efficiency: By setting up an ongoing gift, you're maximizing your impact. Consistent donations means we can spend less time pursuing new donations each year and puts us in a better position to respond to the emerging and often urgent needs of sick children.
