I am so excited to announce I will be running Boston Marathon 2025 as part of the Miles for Miracles team! I am even more excited that my patient partner gets to be my very own Lyle! We will work together to raise money for all the brave kids just like him and to give back to a hospital who gave us hope!
Children's Hospital has been an important role in Lyle's healthcare since he was in utero at 31 weeks pregnant and diagnosed with the conditions of a Urinoma and Multi Cystic Dysplastic Kidney. In other words Lyle has a large 9cm cyst or urine filled mass on his left kidney ( as well as many other more "normal" cysts) which in result have crushed and left his left kidney with no function. Yup you read it he only has ONE working kidney! But despite all the big medical words so far Lyle is a happy, healthy and very active 4 year old!
We are so grateful for the team of doctors and nurses as well as all other support staff in Urology and Nephrology who have handled this odd case with ease and helped us make smart and rational choices in times of panic and unknown.
