I’ve joined the Miles for Miracles team to help the brave kids at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), a place that holds a very special meaning to me and my family.

Ever since I was little, I remember watching the Boston Marathon on Patriots Day. My siblings and I would watch in awe as the athletes raced, eagerly trying to catch a glimpse of our dad and uncle crossing the finish line. I’ve always dreamed of running the Boston Marathon, and now, that dream is becoming a reality.

But what makes this even more meaningful is that I’m running for a cause that has impacted my family in such a profound way—Miles for Miracles at Boston Children’s Hospital. For over 20 years, my cousin Sadie Doherty has been a patient at this incredible hospital. Sadie battles chronic pain every day. After years of endless doctor visits and countless diagnoses, doctors at BCH finally found that she suffers from Nerve Syndromes.

Sadie has been to the hospital over 500 times, including two ambulance rides and countless emergency rooms visits. It’s been a long road with multiple surgeries, but through it all, Sadie’s determination and the care she’s received at BCH has given her the chance to live a life beyond what her condition once seemed to allow.

Now, Sadie is thriving at Lesley University—all thanks to the doctors, researchers, and support staff at BCH. I’m not just running for Sadie; I’m running for all the incredible kids at Boston Children’s Hospital who deserve a chance at a normal life.

Every dollar I raise goes directly to funding life-saving care, groundbreaking research, and vital support services for kids like Sadie. Your donation will help kids from our community and beyond receive the best medical care possible, support programs that allow them to be kids during difficult times, and provide families with the resources they need.
