Since 2013 I have been part of the Miles for Miracles team, pairing up with runners each year who have put in months of dedication to prepare for the marathon.
And since before I was even born, I have been receiving world-class care from the staff at Boston Children's Hospital. From my mom's visits to the Advanced Fetal Care Center when she was pregnant with me to recent visits for the occasional broken bone or other mishap, Boston Children's Hospital has always given me the best care possible.
This year I am paired with a total of five runners. One of these partners is my long-time soccer coach, Rich Powell from United Soccer Group. I have played soccer on Coach Powell's teams for many years and in the past he has supported my MFM efforts as a donor. But this year he joined the MFM team of runners to check off a "bucket list" item of running the Boston Marathon and to help such an amazing cause.
My other four running partners are part of the Granite Communications team - one of whom is coming from Florida for this event. Let's hope the Boston weather is kind to him!
I look forward to seeing all my partners in April for the weekend's events and hope they all post personal bests for the marathon!
As I continue on my journey to become a runner for the Miles for Miracles team in 2027, I hope you'll support me again this year in my fundraising efforts for the best children's hospital in the USA!
Thank you for your support!
