This was supposed to be my fundraising page for the Berlin Marathon...but since those plans are out the window for 2020 (thanks, Covid-19), I am still going to try to raise the $1000 I pledged to raise for Boston Children's Hospital. What's cool about this is it will go DIRECTLY to the Pediatric Transplant Center and their specific needs. For anyone reading this who does not know, the Pediatric Transplant Center at Boston Children's Hospital is special to us because 5 years ago, our daughter Natalie was born in complete liver failure for unknown reasons. She needed a transplant immediately. We were fortunate enough that a pediatric donor became available, and when Natalie was only 10 days old, she became the youngest successful transplant recipient at Boston Children's Hospital. We owe her life to the doctors and nurses there, and of course to the unknown family whose incredible generosity at a time of terrible grief made it possible for us to have this incredible creature in our lives.
I promised myself that if Natalie survived, I would spend the rest of my life giving back to the hospital. Over the past 5 years, I have raised close to $50,000 for Boston Children's Hospital with your help, and I can't express how deeply grateful I am for your support. I know times are tough for many people right now, so any donation, great or small, is appreciated more than ever. Thank you!
