I am back for my 6th year with Miles for Miracles running for my daughter Sadie Rose who has been a patient at Boston Children’s Hospital for almost 18 years. Sadie has struggled with chronic pain, Ehlers Danlos and GI issues. Sadie has received the ultimate care from the wonderful doctors and nurses from Boston Children’s Hospitals, especially the Pain Clinic.
After a very emotional day I told her doctors I would raise them one million dollars for the Pain Clinic at Boston Children’s Hospital. A fund has been set up where 100% of your donation will go directly to the Pediatric Interventional Pain Service Fund. This fund supports Research and Trials. Sadie has already benefitted from two of the trials that were not around 15 years ago.
Sadie Rose is a sophomore in college and keeping her health in check. Although giving her money whenever she needed it while she attended school, she wanted to be independent. She went out and got a job and works as a barista at Starbucks. She also wanted to pay me back for her allowance but I refused to take it. This is the kind of person Sadie is. So tip your broke college barista’s. She is saving up for a tattoo, we’ll discuss that later.
We are chipping away at the million with $250,000 raised over the past 5 years. Thank you for supporting our Million Dollar Mission. We couldn’t do it this without the generosity and the love.
Thank you from the bottom of my Heart, Michael Doherty
