I signed on to be a Hope Rider for the Hub on Wheels citywide bike ride because I want to push myself to complete the 40+ miles bike ride in a faster time than I did last year and raising money for a great cause one of the best motivators.
On September 15th, I’ll join thousands of cyclists for this family friendly ride through the Boston neighborhoods – including on a car-free Storrow Drive – all to raise critical funds for pediatric cancer research at Boston Children’s.
This will only be the second time I have ever completed more than 26 miles and I will be surpassing it again this year. This is also my second ever organized charity event but I know that the Boston Children’s hospital is one of the most worth causes. While I never personally went to Boston Children’s myself I know that they have a huge impact on the local and world wide communities with their high level of care and attention to detail in making the treatment both as effective as possible but also as comfortable for the families it impacts.
From the birth of modern chemotherapy to the discovery that tumors need their own blood vessels to grow, Boston Children’s Hospital researchers don’t just improve cancer treatment—they introduce new chapters in cancer medicine. Fundraising plays an instrumental role in keeping scientists moving forward and 100% of your donation goes to directly to helping kids.
A donation of any amount has a profound impact. Thank you for your support.
