Hello friends and family and welcome (back) to my Boston Marathon fundraising page as a member of the Miles for Miracles team! That's right, three years and two babies later, I am back and ready to finish my Boston Marathon journey! For those of you who don't know, I trained with the Miles for Miracles team at Boston Children's Hospital for the 2020 Boston Marathon. Due to Covid, it was postponed from April 2020 to September and eventually made a virtual race. I ended up running 26.2 miles on September 13, 2020 around my house in Franklin, Massachusetts at 28 weeks pregnant with the support of many friends. I never imagined I would be running the Boston Marathon virtually, let alone pregnant, but I finished my race in 2020 feeling so accomplished to have raised close to $8,500 for Boston Children's Hospital and at the same time so determined to do it all again one day and finish the race in Boston. That time is now and I could not be more excited to be running for BCH yet again! With your help, love, encouragement, and support, I know I will be crossing that finish line on Bolyson Street on April 17, 2023 while raising money and awareness for one of the best children's hospitals in the nation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting my fundraising page and for supporting me on this journey. I can't wait to share it all with you!!
I've joined the Miles for Miracles team because I believe so strongly in all the amazing things Boston Children's Hospital does for kids and their families. I’ve always strived to show my children the importance of being active and staying healthy, however, I realize that is not everyone’s reality. The hospital's patient care programs are unusually sensitive to what sick and injured children and their families really need. They also welcome kids whose families can't afford health care--more than any other hospital in Massachusetts. My own children have been patients at Boston Children's Hospital and I have countless close friends whose children have and are receiving top notch care from the teams of doctors and nurses at BCH. Boston Children's researchers continue to make amazing discoveries that change children's lives and I could not imagine supporting a better cause. They really understand the importance of training the next generation of top pediatricians and nurses, so they can continue to provide the best, most innovative care possible to kids.
Thank you in advance for supporting me and supporting a hospital that means so much to me!
