Dear Friends - As some of you know my 10 year old daughter Ava Reppucci was born 6 weeks prematurely and spent 23 days in intensive care. (At 3.5 pounds Ava still holds the record for smallest baby to ever be discharged from the hospital!) With her premature birth came a list of conditions we are still working through and have spent many days many nights and many hours at Boston Children’s Hospital for numerous surgeries and procedures. Ava not only continues to improve, she continues to be strong and optimistic, still lighting up the rooms at her appointments - We feel her demeanor is partly due to the amazing doctors, nurses and administrative staff at Boston Children’s Hospital. And now that we’ve had a solid 10 year relationship with BCH, we thought it was time to give back.
With that said, in an effort to raise money for BCH, I will be running the 2021 Boston Marathon on October 11th - I have been accepted by the BCH Miles for Miracles Team and my “Patient Partner” will of course be Ava Reppucci.
The money raised for my 26.2 mile endeavor will go straight to BCH to help fund their patient care programs, medical research, pediatrician training, and their ability to help kids whose families can’t afford health care.
Thank you very much in advance for your generosity.
Kevin & Ava
