I've joined the Miles for Miracles team because I am passionate about helping kids at Boston Children’s Hospital find lifesaving care, and give families hope. With your help, I will be running the London Marathon on April 21, 2024.
I ran the Boston Marathon in 2021 for the Miles for Miracles team, it was such an amazing experience. As a Nursing Director at Boston Children's Hospital, I get to see first-hand the incredible care provided every day.
For the London Marathon, I have been paired with an amazing Patient Partner, Charlotte!
Charlotte was born a fighter. She was born 4 weeks early- she only weighed 3.6 lbs. She spent her first month fighting for life in the NICU. Charlotte has NF (Neurofibromatosis) a condition that creates tumors which can grow anywhere. She had her first MRI 2 years ago and has had 4 MRIs a year since. She is currently be observed for having an Optic nerve Glioma-a tumor. These tumors are typically benign but can cause blindness and are often inoperable. Charlotte is cared for at BCH by a Neuro Ophthalmologist.
Charlotte turned 7 in November. She lives in New Hampshire with her family and likes to spend her time playing soccer, in gymnastics, and dancing. Help me fundraise for Boston Children's Hospital to allow Charlotte to be the healthiest version of herself and focus on the activities she loves!
Every dollar I raise funds breakthrough research, family supports, and vital services not covered by insurance through the hospital’s Every Child Fund. Your gift will:
- give children battling the most complex diseases treatments they can’t find anywhere else;
- help children in your town and those across the world get a second chance;
- fuel 3,000+ researchers working to find cures;
- help patient-families in crisis with urgent needs, including housing, food and clothing;
- bring crucial care to families through not 1, but 4 outpatient psychiatry clinics;
- and so much more.
Please support my fundraising—and the children and families at Boston Children’s and beyond.
