EXCITED to share that this November I will be running the TCS NYC Marathon!!!! I will be running on Boston Childrens Hospital’s team: Miles for Miracles.
For the past 7 years I have worked as a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit or PICU. I started my career at Duke University Hospital but now am a travel nurse, working at various hospitals throughout the country.
I also love to run. So when the opportunity to run my first full marathon, have it be in New York City AND be a part of a team that supports something close to my heart, I couldn’t have been more excited!
The PICU has never been an easy place to work. Each shift is filled with its own challenges and sadness but amongst the heartbreak, there are wins. These wins are what push us forward through the unspeakable moments. I’m shown every day that kids are stronger & more resilient than any adult I know.
I’m asking for help to reach my fundraising goals! Every penny of the money raised goes directly to Boston Childrens Hospital; helping fund research, support families of patients, and fund vital services not covered by insurance.
Please help us care for these tiny warriors, their families and the research that helps protect and heal these kiddos!
