**Update:
Hi Everyone,
With the start of the new year, the big run is feeling closer and closer. This message is simply to thank you all for your overwhelming support, kind words, and generosity. The Boston Children's Hospital's Miles for Miracles team has so far raised nearly $1.5M for the best medical care and breakthrough research for kids who need it most. Because of your generosity, our efforts are among top in funds raised. As if I didn't have enough to run for, you've all given me renewed will power to get out and train, even in the worst weather conditions.
I've really enjoyed the training, which has been equally humbling and rewarding, and introduced me to some inspirational athletes. It's amazing how exercise and a common goal can bring people together.
The runs are starting to get longer with the first 10 miler this weekend. I run with my Happy Callan bracelet, a resin with their handprints that BCH gave me last year, and the constant reminder that there is endless love and support out there. Thank you all so much.
Pat

Hello friends,
I've joined the Miles for Miracles team to help the brave kids at Boston Children's Hospital in honor of my children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, who tragically passed away in January 2023.
In the short time they were here, my kids brought me so much joy and couldn’t have made their dad prouder. It goes without saying that losing them has been devasting and it’s a heartbreak that I’ll live with forever, but I’ve committed myself to honoring their memory by trying to bring positive change. In many ways, I’m just trying to be more like them. Their passion in life was infectious.
Cora always loved interacting and playing little ones, especially after her little brothers were born. She loved babies partly because she thought they were cute, but she also just loved taking care of them. She would always say that one day she wanted to be a “doctor and a mama.”
Dawson was everyone’s pal and one of the friendliest toddlers you’d ever meet. He loved fire trucks, Paw Patrol, and his family. I always marveled at his willingness to share and ability to bring smiles to people’s faces.
Callan was such a happy baby that he earned the nickname, “Happy Callan.” You could tell he loved his brother and sister and seemed to find them hilarious. I could have listened to him laugh all day. I know he would have done great things in this world.
Callan spent his last moments in my arms before he passed at Boston Children’s Hospital. Although I wished so badly for a different outcome, I was overwhelmed by the compassion and professionalism of the doctors and nurses in the ICU. They gave me a little more time with my boy and I’ll forever be grateful for that. I’m incredibly honored to have the privilege of joining their team for the 2024 Boston Marathon and I'll be running in Cora, Dawson, and Callan's memory.
Every dollar I raise funds the very best medical care, breakthrough research and vital support services for sick kids and their families. Your gift will:
- help children from your town and across the world get a second chance at life;
- give kids battling the most complex diseases care they can't find anywhere else;
- fuel 3,000+ researchers working to develop new treatments and cures;
- support patient programs, like music and art therapy, to let kids be kids, even during long hospital stays;
- help patient families in crisis with urgent needs, such as food, clothing and housing;
- deliver the most compassionate, leading-edge care to every child who needs it.
Please support my fundraising and help the incredible kids and families at Boston Children's Hospital.
