I've joined the Miles for Miracles for the second time! Unfortunately, due to health reasons I've deferred my entry to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. I hope to get healthy and come back stronger for next year, as running the Boston marathon was truly a life changing experience. Running and fundraising for Boston was a once in a lifetime experience, but i'm looking forward to seeing what we can do round two!
During my training for Boston, my patient partner, Emily Butts lost her battle to leukemia. Emily was a daughter, sister, cousin, and friend and her legacy will forever live on. I ran Boston in honor of her and will step up to the start line in New York in remembrance of the brave fighter she was.
I hope you'll consider making a donation as I have a goal of $4,500 this go round! I've listed some ways that your donation can and will make a lasting impact.
Your gift will:
- give children battling the most complex diseases treatments they can’t find anywhere else;
- help children in your town and across the world get a second chance;
- fuel 3,000+ researchers working to find cures;
- help patient-families in crisis with urgent needs, including housing, food and clothing;
- bring crucial care to families through outpatient psychiatry clinics;
- and so much more.
Thank you for your support! And I'll see you at the finish line!
Much love,
Soph
