I'm proud to have been selected for the Miles for Miracles Team for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. As a parent of a special needs son who is a patient of Boston Children’s Hospital there are only so many ways you can say thank you and show appreciation for the excellent care he has recieved. My son Nico was born with Apert Syndrome, a very rare genetic disorder which affects the muscoskeletal system, specifically the skull, hands, feet and spine. Apert’s children will require numerous corrective surgeries throughout life to help improve these bone abnormalities. Thanks to the amazing orthopedic staff at Boston Children’s Hospital, Nico has received several surgeries which has improved the use of his fingers providing a better quality of life and independence for him.
