I'm genuinely excited to represent the Miles for Miracles team for the TCS New York City Marathon this season. This mission is personal to me—our son was born with a condition called hemihyperplasia, which can cause accelerated cell growth on one side of his body and ultimately increases risk for pediatric cancers.
In those early, uncertain days, Boston Children's Hospital was an invaluable resource for us to learn more about the condition and get a plan together for his care. Their public information and studies about his condition provided us with the knowledge and support we needed and better equipped us for the road ahead. This race gives me an opportunity to say thank you.
Every dollar (100%) I raise funds breakthrough research, family support services, and vital care not covered by insurance through the hospital’s Every Child Fund.
