With Sophia’s diagnosis of Rett syndrome, I’ve started to see the world with new eyes. Eyes that see the many mundane things we take for granted, to name a few, movement and mobility. My daughter has to work for what comes naturally others and easily for.
I've joined the Miles for Miracles for the TCS New York City Marathon because I am passionate about helping kids, in situations like Sophia, at Boston Children’s Hospital find lifesaving care.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating today.
Every dollar I raise funds breakthrough research, family support services, and vital care not covered by insurance through the hospital’s Every Child Fund. Your gift will:
- give children battling the most complex diseases treatments they can’t find anywhere else;
- help children in your town and across the world get a second chance;
- fuel 3,000+ researchers working to find cures;
- help patient-families in crisis with urgent needs, including housing, food and clothing;
- bring crucial care to families through outpatient psychiatry clinics;
- and so much more.
Please support my fundraising—and help the children and families at Boston Children’s and beyond.
Sophia will be my “patient partner”. She will be my motivation during training. She will be my drive. She will get me over the finish line.
