I've joined the Miles for Miracles team because I am passionate about helping kids at Boston Children’s Hospital find lifesaving care, and give families hope. 

When my youngest was born in September 2023 he was in the 89th percentile in weight, but by 6 months in he was down to 11% and we couldn't figure out why. We tried all sorts of different steps to resolve the issue on our own, but after so many attempts we sought out a specialist at Boston Childrens, and after a few visits we found out he has allergies to dairy, eggs, and tree nuts. While it was certainly a scary time, finding out what the cause was came as a huge relief, and we were able to get him on a diet that worked with his body and over the last 9 months he is back up in the 75th percentile and is a happy healthy young boy!

While BCH deals with cases much more severe than Malcolm's, the fact that they were able to quickly diagnose and help solve his problem was enormous. We went from wondering if it was something we were doing wrong to realizing it was out of our control, so when we given a solution we are still eternally grateful. No matter the issue BCH is ready to help at a moment's notice, and we are truly grateful to have such a wonderful resource so close to home.
