In Memory of Cindy Sue Deihl-Butterworth
During Cindy’s two weeks of life, the support team at the
Boston Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) made her and her
family feel comfortable and loved. The work of the people there is truly a
blessing. This page was created to honor Cindy's life, pay tribute to her
family, and thank those who helped along the way. Please consider making
a donation to Boston Children's Hospital where all funds will be directly sent
back to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
On September 30th, 2018 Cynthia Sue Deihl-Butterworth was born to
parents Amy Butterworth and Timothy Deihl and proud big brother Raymon
Deihl-Butterworth. She was soft and sweet and nearly perfect. But an umbilical
cord accident had cut the oxygen supply to her brain and baby Cindy was put on
life support at Children’s Hospital for the two weeks of her short life.
On October 13th, 2018 she took her last breaths in the arms of her loving
parents.
Although baby Cindy left this earth far too soon, she gave her family and so
many others a precious gift - a gentle reminder of the most important things in
life.
The name Cynthia means “Bringer of Light”, “Goddess of the Moon”; Cindy Sue
will continue to light the way for all of her loved ones, even in the darkest
hours.
