Help Score a Win for a Worthy Cause
The Corporate Cup is an event that gives companies the opportunity to raise money for this fantastic hospital and then compete against each other in field-day events (it's like an adult field/sports day and gets pretty intense in all the right ways!).
As much fun as 'Event Day' is, the real reason we all get involved is the opportunity to give back to Boston Children's Hospital. Participating each year has exposed me to some incredible stories of strength, courage and support shared by patients and parents alike.
Personally, Kevin and I witnessed their amazing work firsthand, when our son Zachary was diagnosed with Dysphagia at 12 months old. Although not life threatening the difficulty he experienced swallowing meant that he was constantly at risk of getting fluid in his lungs potentially causing permanent damage. Everyone at the hospital from the person who validated our parking to the Dr's and Nurses taking care of Zachary were kindness personified! We were very lucky that this is something Zachary grew out of and didn't require surgery... then.. Fast forward to September 2020 in the midst of the Pandemic, Zachary needed his tonsils and Adenoids removed. We were very nervous given that he'd have to spend the night in the hospital but again the staff were so supportive and understanding of our needs. The surgery was a success and we haven't needed to visit Boston Children's Hospital since, long may that continue!
All proceeds of this event go directly to the 'Boston Children's Hospital Every Child Fund', this allows the hospital to treat every child regardless of insurance and support other priorities such as researching cures.
