A worthy cause so near and dear to my heart!
I am so excited to join the Lamacchia Realty Team and participate in this years Boston Children's Hospital's Corporate Cup event on July 14th!
In February 2022 my daughter was diagnosed with what, thankfully turned out to be a benign tumor over 12 cm's in her chest. The tumor was discovered on an emergency room visit to Lahey Clinic, our local emergency room, but we were quickly transferred to Boston Children's Hospital. We had lived at Children's Hospital the remainder of February while doctors and nurses worked diligently to find out the pathology and best possible course of action to take for surgery in removing the tumor. Although benign, the tumor had attached to my daughter's heart, lung, and a portion of her diaphragm and had to be removed. Needless to say, this was one of the scariest times my family has ever gone through. We felt complete transparency and genuine care from the entire staff at Boston Children's Hospital. To call this team of individuals from the Oncology department, surgical team, and nursing staff hero's would be an understatement. I will never be able to thank them enough for the care and support the staff at the hospital provided to my entire family, but I believe this is a great opportunity to give back.
There's no greater challenge or victory than helping to save the lives of children. While our team, and hundreds of participants, will be facing off against each other on the field, we stand together in the belief and hope that every child should have the chance to get better.
