We are fundraising to help get a pre-clinical trial started for pediatric brain tumors with FGFR mutations. No money comes to us - it goes directly to Boston Children’s Hospital for this specific research. Research to narrow down inhibitors to the few that should be studied deeper has been approved by Boston Children’s hospital. The research will start once $100,000 is raised. Research is expected to take 2 years & $300,000.
Why is this so important to us? Our sweet daughter, Paige, has a brain tumor with FGFR mutations. She had resection surgery; however, we had to leave ~1cm cube of tumor in her left temporal lobe. She has been overcoming loss of speech and severe right side weakness, and is doing well. Paige is always happy, a natural nurturer, and brings joy to everyone she meets.
