Geared toward high schools and colleges, this yearlong, student-led fundraiser culminates in a day of dancing. Fundraising helps kids at your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital—Boston Children's (that's us!).
I’m fundraising to help Boston Children’s continue its amazing work for kids.
Seacrest Studios is happening live at the hospital everyday. The studio encourages patient and family participation during all of their live programs, whether in person, in the studio space, or from the bedside. Patients can call 5-RYAN when they are broadcasting live, on channel 19, The Hub, the hospital’s closed-circuit TV system, to interact with other patients, studio staff, and guests. All of the programming is created by or for patients, and they strive to offer opportunities that span all ages and interests. Their state-of-the-art studio allows their team to create and share unique multimedia experiences with the entire hospital community.
Seacrest Studios does more than twenty hours of live programing each weekday, ranging from music requests to game shows, to celebrity guest visits. Patients can make song requests, participate in games, or be a guest host. Patients get to explore their creativity and hidden talents on air, in the studio or from the comfort of their rooms. The programming is all about giving opportunities to learn, try new things, interact, and experience the normalcy of childhood.
The money I raise for Seacrest Studios would go toward supporting all of their future programming/gaming endeavors. As well as contribute to purchasing new technology or whatever is needed for the studio to be most successful. On my downtime I enjoy playing video games and listening to music. It's a great way for me to escape and distract myself from the daily grind. I really like the idea that kids at the hospital get an opportunity to distract themselves in some ways too.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal. The kids at Childrens deserve to have something to smile about while they're staying there.
