Geared toward high schools and colleges, this yearlong, student-led fundraiser culminates in a day of dancing. Fundraising helps kids at your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital—Boston Children's (that's us!).
My name is Nicole Kouri-Villaescusa and I am 17 years old. I am from Miami, FL and have a twin sister and two little sisters.
It all started when I was born with a vsd and diaphragmatic hernia. When I was 2 years old I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension, which means I have high blood pressure in my lungs, making it hard for the right side of my heart to pump blood to my lungs, at the time I didn't understand what I had, but knew I really couldn't do stuff like other kids could.
When I got older, I couldn't do any sports or much, but my condition progressed over the years and I needed to get a heart and lung transplant. I waited for a miracle in Boston Children's Hospital: I have been going there since I was 2 years old, everyone there is great and takes good care of me. Living like this is not easy, but I need to keep positive and be grateful for all the support and love I have.
Today, thanks for the miraculous work done at Boston Children’s Hospital and to an anonymous donor, I can Breathe, Beat and Believe. Please join me in helping the families of the Transplant Center at Boston Children’s Hospital live an easier life as they await for their miracle.
My goal is to reach $100,000 and as of today we've raised over $13,000, all the money raised will go to help Latino patients in the Pediatric Transplant Center at Boston Children's Hospital.
