Geared toward high schools and colleges, this yearlong, student-led fundraiser culminates in a day of dancing. Fundraising helps kids at your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital—Boston Children's (that's us!).
Have you ever spent Christmas in a hospital? I myself had to spend one Christmas in the hospital, at my brother’s bedside. You would think it is no fun. You are stuck in a bed -or in a room- while the world celebrates, and families get together. I would worry about not getting presents under the tree…but do you know that Santa comes to the Hospital too? Yes, he does! Thanks to all his awesome helpers, like you!!!
In the past, our family has organized Toy Drives for cardiology patients at Boston Children’s Hospital. This year I asked my Mom to take the lead of this fundraiser, thinking about the kids and siblings like me that will be spending a very different Christmas: away from their home or families.
The toys the hospital collects bring so much joy during the Holidays! They also support patients during challenging procedures, help to maintain motivation during long admissions, and are given to kids to use in their hospital room. With the hospital unable to accept donated toys or items due to Covid, there's a great need for funding to purchase items that were once donated. Each donation will help stock playrooms, purchase unique items for patients and provide support to families—especially during the holiday season.
Your generosity will allow parents and caregivers to focus on what matters most: helping their kid heal.
