Hi Friends and Family! It's that time of year again. Time for Yoga Reaches Out for Boston Children's Hospital which is ranked as the #1 Children's Hospital in the country (fifth year in a row!). Our family, like many of yours, has a personal connection to BCH. Our son, James, was treated there many times since the age of 6 for what started like a seemingly minor problem which spiraled into a not so minor problem... like things have a way of doing. Like many of the kids that are treated at BCH, James' problem was quite rare. From minor treatment and surgery at 6 and 10 and then more significant treatment and surgeries at 17 and 18, James was always treated with the upmost compassion and skill at this amazing institution. How lucky are we to have Boston Children's so close to us?
But our story is only one in a billion (OK... maybe not a billion) stories shared by children and families who come from all over the world to BCH, often with unusual and serious conditions.
Anyone who knows me, knows how I love yoga and I am delighted to participate once again in a day long yoga event at Gillette Field House where the goal of 1,000 yogis this year is to raise 650,000 bucks to support the work of Boston Children's Hospital. Your gifts will provide treatments born from breakthrough research and services through "the every child fund" and will help families be their best selves for their sick child through "the Wellness Program".
1,000 yogis. one intention.
Thank you for supporting me in supporting Boston Children's Hospital.
With love, Nan
