Newborn Medicine Research

Team Newborn Medicine Research is dedicated to supporting research at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), with a special fondness to research that benefits the newborn.  At BCH, important and cutting-edge research happens every day at the bench, at the beside in the NICU, and beyond.  The researchers in Newborn Medicine include scientists that focus on the entire neonate, including cardiopulmonary and blood disorders of the newborn, developmental neuroscience and imaging, neonatal genomics, epigenetics, and immunology.  They are poised to continue to make important breakthroughs through basic, translational, and clinical research studies.  Supporting this science at BCH will help Newborn Medicine continue their work to help the smallest and most vulnerable of patients.  Becky Weller joined the team because her son is a graduate of the NICU GraDS Program that Newborn Medicine administers, and wanted to help raise funds to help newborns in similar situations.

We will also be riding to thank the doctors, nurses and staff that treated Alex and Adelyn Lemovitz (2 of teammate Mike's daughters) so well this past year when they were Boston Children’s patients.  Thankfully they have had positive outcomes; the money we raise can help other families have the same chance.

Every donation will make an impact.  Your dollars will go to fund the Boston Children’s Research Accelerator Fund, which will continue to invest in the next research breakthroughs at BCH.

From Boston Children’s-
