Our first Christmas as a family of three was spent in the Cardiac ICU at Boston Children's Hospital. No family ever imagines spending the holidays in the hospital but when your child is sick and fighting for their life you do what you have to do. Sometimes that means giving up holidays at home for a lifetime more. The doctors and nurses try their best to make it special, but they never do it alone. While we were there, we received gifts, gift cards and blankets because of the generosity of strangers through fundraising efforts and now it's our turn to try to make those kids and families feel a little bit of joy during some of the most stressful times in their life!
We are so grateful for Molly's health with each passing day and for every holiday we get to spend at home. That was once not a reality for us, and we never take any of our time together for granted. All we want is the same for every kiddo and family spending the holidays in the hospital.
Once again, we are participating in the Boston Children’s Hospital toy drive! All of the funds raised will go towards purchasing gifts for all the kids spending the holidays in the hospital this year!
Boston Children’s Hospital holds a special place in our hearts for obvious reasons but so do all the people that have donated to our fundraising efforts through the years. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for helping us bring joy to the patients and families spending the holidays in the hospital this year!
