This year I am running a virtual toy drive to help the children and families at Boston Children's Hospital. Your donations would help bring toys to children in the hospital during the holidays.
As some of you know, I have been a patient at Children's Hospital since I was born. I have had a few operations at the hospital, including one at Christmastime. I remember how much I enjoyed it whenever I was able to come to the toy room during my operations. Surgery is scary for everybody, but when you are a kid you don't always know what's going on. Operations can be confusing and painful but when you go to the toy room you can act like yourself. You can play. You can ignore the world around you. Best of all, you don't have to take any shots.
I might never have to stay overnight at this hospital again but somebody else will, and I want to help them however I can.
