Join us in supporting children and families at Boston Children's Hospital by participating in this virtual toy drive in honor of Addi. Addi was critically ill and admitted to Boston Children's hospital for nearly six months at the end of her life. This included Christmas. Donors like you supported a "holiday store" which provided a half dozen free high quality presents to each admitted child. Since Addi and her mom Tammy were isolating in Addi's hospital room to protect her from germs, Tammy was given a Wish List to circle the types of gifts that Addi would love and the perfect choices were secretly delivered to Tammy with wrapping paper. Tammy listened to Christmas music and wrapped next to Addi while she slept and the snow fell in the holiday themed garden outside Addi's hospital room window. This program brought some sort of normalcy and joy to the Carroll family, which was separated between two states on Christmas day but Addi and her siblings were still able to enjoy Christmas morning together via zoom. The Carrolls are very grateful that they didn't have to worry about the logistics of making Christmas magic happen at the hospital so they could focus on loving Addi through medical crisis or the financial stress while they were not earning income so they could be with Addi during her admission.
Your donation will help purchase meaningful items for patients and fill urgent needs for patient families and the hospital, especially during the holiday season. With your help, parents and caregivers will be able to focus on what matters most: helping their child heal. Any amount helps bring joy to patients and families at Boston Children's, where Addi was deeply loved and received the best care in the world. Please help so other children and their families may have the same.
