This is my 5th year walking in support of Boston Children's Hospital in honor of my AMAZING daughter, Alli. This event is so important to me because it is my way of not only giving back to an exceptional hospital, but to also celebrate Alli’s strength, resilience and progress.
The last four years have been a journey of turning heartache into hope. After my daughter suffered a stroke at birth, our first couple of years as a family were very challenging. However, with the help of Boston Children's Hospital, my daughter has been able to grow and thrive. Because of the strong connection I feel to the doctors and staff at the hospital, I started participating in this walk as a way to create something good from a difficult situation.
One of the things that makes the hospital so special is that the doctors, nurses and therapists are incredibly compassionate, respectful and supportive. Our family has so much confidence in everyone’s ability to care for our daughter and we truly appreciate how invested they are in her development. Being a patient at Boston Children's Hospital is, without a doubt, the reason that she has made so much progress.
My family and I have continued to walk together every year not only to give back to the hospital that has had such a significant impact on our lives, but also to honor and celebrate our daughter. I could not be more proud of how hard she works and how much progress she has made.
Boston Children's Hospital provides hope to families at times when it feels like there is none. Please help me support this great hospital that has done so much for our daughter and our family, as well as countless other families around the world. Every dollar truly helps.
