From the moment your child is diagnosed with a rare syndrome, your life is forever impacted. You’re devastated! This is not part of the dream you’ve always envisioned. If you’re lucky enough, with time you learn to adjust to your child’s unique challenges. From the moment you hear "your child may not survive", as a parent your world has just IMPLODED! You are very quickly humbled and realize nothing else matters. What’s left… your faith in God and trust in your medical team.
I am participating in the 2023 Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital on June 11 because without Dillon’s STELLAR medical team he would not be here today THRIVING! He has overcome all odds including 10 surgeries, 85 days inpatient, and continues his regular outpatient care at BCH. I will be forever grateful to his dedicated doctors and nurses! Some of which are now like extended family.
We’ve made it our mission to give back to help other families in crisis. Dillon has contributed to three significant research publications! This will be our 4th fundraising effort with the cumulative goal of reaching $20,000 this year! This would not be possible without the continued support of our family, friends, colleagues, and all those extended supporters of Dillon as well. I remember every single one of you! And I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support and generosity.
BCH serves the most vulnerable children on this planet. Families come from near and far in hopes of battling the most complex of diseases.
