The Gorman Family (George, Sue, Meggie, Jack & Grace) are walking again this year in honor & in memory of our daughter & sister, Annie. Annie was born in 1993 with a very rare congenital heart defect, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, in which the left side of the heart is too small to pump enough blood to the body’s organs. When she was born, Children’s was 1 of only 2 hospitals in the world that did surgery for HLHS. Now, the surgery is done all over the world and Children’s has developed new approaches including an in-utero intervention that can be done in some cases. Annie had a short, but wonderful, life of 11 years thanks to Doctors, Nurses, staff and researchers at Children's Hospital. 2019 marks the 15th year since Annie died. She would have been 26 years old this year.
I'm fundraising on behalf of Boston Children's Hospital because:
I BELIEVE no parent should experience the loss of a child.
I BELIEVE no sibling should have to watch their brother or sister suffer.
I BELIEVE that by investing in the best doctors and scientists we can save lives - today!
I BELIEVE that donations received before today helped a child I love and
I BELIEVE that every dollar I raise for Boston Children's Hospital will have a ripple effect and could be THE dollar that changes everything for a future family in crisis.
Please consider a donation to support my fundraising efforts... because I KNOW that when we band together WE WILL help fund Boston Children's exceptional care and groundbreaking research that can help every child.
