I'm fundraisring on behalf of Boston Childrens Hospital beacause:For the past 10 months, I’ve been fighting a disease called CRPS (Complex Reginal Pain Syndrome). CRPS is a condition of my nervous system that causes severe pain, color changes, swelling, very serve sensitivity to simple touch, and sensitivity to normal stimuli. Getting my diagnosis last April was really challenging for my family and me. It was especially hard to cope with all the change and adapt to my new life with chronic pain. After many doctor’s appointments and seeing different doctors, I eventually was told that I indeed have CRPS and needed to go to an intensive outpatient rehab program at Boston Children’s. While I was there, the team taught me so many skills and helpful coping to let me do what I truly love. They helped me not let my disease control my life anymore. Although it still impacts me in a lot of ways, I’m happy to say that I am thriving more than ever! Without Boston Children, I have no idea what my life would be like.
I BELIEVE no parent should experience the loss of a child.
I BELIEVE no sibling should have to watch their brother or sister suffer.
I BELIEVE that by investing in the best doctors and scientists we can save lives - today!
I BELIEVE that donations received before today helped a child I love and
I BELIEVE that every dollar I raise for Boston Children's Hospital will have a ripple effect and could be THE dollar that changes everything for a future family in crisis.
