My name is Molly and I am 8 years old. I have had my pacemaker since I was 23 months old. I am fundraising on behalf of Boston Children's Hospital because I want to help other kids with pacemakers and ICDs (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator).
I went to Keeping the Beat Retreat for the first time when I was 7 years old. This year will be my second year. When my mom told me about this camp I was so happy that I was not the only kid with a pacemaker. I had never met another kid with a pacemaker before. It was an amazing experience! I hope every kid like me gets a chance to experience such a great thing! Keeping the Beat Retreat is a fun camp where kids with pacemakers or ICDs can enjoy camp activities like zip lining, dancing and creating arts and crafts. My favorite part was meeting and spending time with other kids with pacemkakers!
Keeping the Beat is run with donations and volunteers. Please consider supporting me as I walk to support the camp I love! I can't wait to go again this September!
Thank you! Molly
