I was very cozy inside my mommy's belly before I made my big debut. I liked sitting up with my feet by my head. My daddy thinks I'm definitely a future hockey goalie. But since I chose this spot, my hips didn't develop the right way. This was very scary for Mama and Daddy, but the doctors said that I could be an Olympic athlete someday. He said that everything would be ok. I had to go to lots of doctors appointments and then one day the doctors put me in this crazy contraption that kept my hips and legs stuck and it was as hard as a rock! What were they thinking?? I kept my hands and feet moving though! The day that crazy thing came off was the scariest. Boy that saw was loud! But Mama and Daddy were the happiest that day. No one could keep me still for long. Before anyone knew it, I was crawling everywhere even in my brace. Then my physical therapist helped me learn to stand and balance and even walk. Now I'm practically running. I'll be in my stroller for most of the Children's Hospital Walk on Sunday, but I'm so excited that I get to walk and explore and grow stronger every day. Mama and Daddy can hardly keep up with me! Everyone at Children's Hospital is amazing!
