As many of you know, my first born, Anya was born with congenital heart disease and required open heart surgery within the first week of life. We were in the best hands at Boston Childrens, receiving superb care and being followed by the best cardiology and electrophysiology team.
CHD is one the most common congenital defects, affecting about 1 in every 100 born, yet many CHD kids feel alone. At Keeping the Beat retreat kids with similar cardiac diagnoses come together for a fun weekend, forming bonds, seeing old friends and making new friends, not feeling alone or “different”. The knowledgeable and lovable Boston Childrens staff come on the trip, allowing the parents to rest at ease. Kids have a load of fun and make memories to last a life time and look forward to this camp each and every year.
Please help make camp possible, no amount is too small. Thank you!!!
