I'm participating in the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital on June 11.
As a former patient at BCH, I want to do my part and giving back to the hospital that saved my life. For those who dont know, I suffered with hemi-facial spasms and a brain AVM as a child and I was diagnosed with a very rare condition and the only hospital that was brave enough to perform my life saving surgery was Boston Children’s Hospital. I wouldn’t be here without their amazing work, and I will never be able to thank them enough. I was lucky to live so close to BCH, and I was able to utilize programs they offered such as art and music therapy- but a lot of families are not as lucky as I was. Many families have to make hard decisions about whether they are able to be by their child’s side through the scariest moments of their lives, or if they need to go to work to make ends meet, and no parent should ever have to make that decision. If you are able, please open your heart and donate to BCH and help families that are less fortunate than I was.
Every dollar I raise funds breakthrough research, family support services and vital services not covered by insurance. Your gift will:
- give children battling the most complex diseases treatments they can't find anywhere else;
- help children in your town and those across the world get a second chance;
- fuel 3,000+ researchers working to find cures;
- help patient-families in crisis with urgent needs, including housing, food and clothing;
- bring crucial care to families through not one, but four, outpatient psychiatry clinics;
- and so much more.
Please support my fundraising and the children and families at Boston Children’s Hospital and beyond!
