In loving memory of our beautiful, fearless, spunky daughter & niece, Hallie James Kyed, we're participating in the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital on June 9.
Hallie was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on April 10, 2023, two weeks after her second birthday. We stayed at BCH for 205+ days, with Hallie receiving multiple rounds of chemo & radiation, followed by a bone marrow transplant in September 2023. After just a few weeks home, our world shattered once more when we learned Hallie's leukemia returned. Additional treatment wasn't effective and Hallie passed away on January 21, 2024.
Through this journey, we've learned pediatric cancer research is severely underfunded. Our children need better treatment options & cures. We want to support the children & families still fighting & we hope one day, no family endures the heartbreak and loss we've experienced.
