Frequently asked questions

What is the day like?

Boston Children's Hospital Corporate Cup is an afternoon of field-day events and friendly competition among the business community, all while raising funds for the hospital. Companies create teams to compete. Winners are announced in a closing ceremony. Then there's the afterparty, where foes become friends over food, drinks and bragging rights.

How do I get there? Where do I park?

By public transit, take the Red Line to Harvard Square and the complex is a 10-minute walk from the Square down JFK St. and over the Charles River. The 66 and 86 route MBTA buses also stop in front of Harvard Stadium.

By car, enter through Gate 8 or Gate 16 and parking staff will direct you to available parking.

By Uber/Lyft, please enter in Beren Tennis Center (65 N Harvard St, Boston, MA 02134) to get dropped off in the correct location.

What time do I need to arrive?

All volunteers should arrive at the Harvard Athletic Complex at 11:00am and check in at the volunteer table. Look out for an email from us 1-2 weeks before the event. It’ll outline your role and important event details.

What time should I expect to be finished?

Please plan to stay all day. We'll wrap-up around 6pm. And you're invited to stay for the after party!

What do the various jobs entail?

  • Team Guides: Lead your assigned team from event to event according to their schedule, and cheer them on as the compete for the cup!
  • Referees: You will be stationed at one event for the day. You're responsible for keeping score for companies that are competing in your assigned event throughout the day.

Is there a minimum age requirement to volunteer?

Yes, volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.

What happens if it rains?

Rain or shine, Corporate Cup is going down. Keep an eye on the forecast in the days leading up to the event and plan accordingly. If the weather becomes too severe, we have a rain date set for Friday, July 14th.

Is there a fundraising minimum for volunteers?

No, volunteers aren't required to fundraise. But, if you're interested in raising funds for the hospital, you definitely can! Access your Fundraising Center by logging in using the username and password you created when registering online. We—and the kids at Boston Children’s—more than appreciate your support.

What COVID-19 protocols will be in place?

COVID-19 precautions are evolving. We are closely monitoring local public health indicators and will make event-related decisions with your safety as our top priority. If you have questions, please contact us at corporatecup@chtrust.org.
