I’m excited to announce that Teddy and I are teaming up to raise money for Boston Children’s Hospital! I’ll be running the 2025 Boston Marathon as a member of the Miles for Miracles team. Teddy and Cormac (along with Charlie and Bowen) will join the effort as patient partners to help raise money for the brave kids and their families at Boston Children’s Hospital.  

This cause is incredibly important to us. Boston Children’s Hospital has always been an important part of our lives. We’ve accessed everything from routine medical care to being recipients of breakthrough research in ophthalmology for Cormac's vision and treatment for his recent diagnosis of a rare blood disorder. 

Boston Children’s Hospital made its greatest impact on our lives last year when Teddy was hit by a car in front of our home. The scene was chaotic and scary as he was rushed to Boston Children’s Hospital where he received the best medical care for his injuries. While the team of doctors and nurses were caring for his injuries, child-life specialists were working to make sure Teddy was comfortable and feeling safe. Not only did they put together social stories explaining his hospital visit, but they created social stories for his brothers and one that Teddy could share with his classmates. 

One year later, Teddy’s physical injuries have all healed, but our family continues to struggle with some complicated feelings. We’ve been thinking of ways we can “pay it forward” to show appreciation for the team at Boston Children’s Hospital and also help support other families while their little ones receive critical medical care at Boston Children’s Hospital. 

We also want to raise money to help fund research for rare pediatric blood disorders, like Cormac's (He's doing great by the way!)

Together our family has decided that raising money for the Miles for Miracles Team would be the best way to give back! 

Every dollar we raise funds the very best medical care, breakthrough research, and vital support services for sick kids and their families. Your gift will:
