For families who must spend the holidays at Boston Children's, the Virtual Toy Drive Program means light, joy and fun during a difficult time. When you host a virtual toy drive, your friends and family can make a monetary donation to your online fundraising page instead of donating a physical toy. Funding ensures the holidays are celebrated to the fullest at the hospital, with gifts for each patient, virtual Santa visits and special moments throughout the season. You'll also help fill urgent needs for patient families and the hospital, during the holiday season and year-round.
How it works:
- Host a virtual toy drive and ask friends and family for a monetary donation instead of a toy donation.
- With your support, child life specialists purchase meaningful toys and items for patients and create special moments throughout the holiday season.
- Toys and items are also used to restock playrooms, cheer up patients after a difficult day or procedure and celebrate the holidays or other milestones.
