I'm participating in Ride to Cure Kids on November 12, because I am passionate about helping kids and families at Boston Children's Hospital.
One month prior to the event will be the one year mark from Oliver’s heart surgery. The amazing lifesaving care he received can never be repaid but this is my best attempt. Once Ollie was on the mend riding the Peloton became a life changing activity for me. The opportunity to push myself through cycling to help others means a lot
- Close to a cure for sickle cell disease: The first patients in our 2018 gene therapy clinical trial are healthy and symptom-free;
- Vaccinating against opioid overdose: A vaccine to prevent accidental opioid overdoses is moving towards clinical trials;
- Preventing organ transplant rejection: A new therpay that appears to induce complete tolerance of transplanted tissues just received FDA approval;
- and so much more.
