On 5/09/01 when I heard my Mom's voice on the phone at 5:30 am, I knew it was news that would change my families lives forever. As tragic as that moment was... as much as it hurt to hear those words, as much as it hurt me to see both my brother and my Dad in tears, to see how broken her mother and both her Nana's hearts were...this moment also taught me somethings..
- Don't take anything or anyone for granted
- Life can change in a second
- When you love someone, tell them, show them and never let them forget... no matter how much it drives them crazy
- Life is short so do what makes YOU happy without hesitation, no matter what other people think.
Emily may only of been around for 5 short months but she taught us all something. Yes we all fell apart during this time, but we also came together and we were all strong for each other. For that I will forever be thankful.. Now all go give your kids a big hug today, no matter how old they are, because who loves them more then you... .
Oh and since Boston Children's Hospital helped Emily as best as they could, why not donate to Team Emily or join our team for the walk...
Thank you all
