On June 9, Torsten and I will participate in the Walk for Boston Children's Hospital. This will be our sixteenth consecutive year participating in the walk! We walk to say thank you for the care that Torsten has received there and to support the important, ongoing work at the hospital.
Boston Children’s Hospital has been ranked as one of the best pediatric hospitals in the country for two decades. Every year the hospital provides advanced medical care to hundreds of thousands of children, and support to their families. Additionally, groundbreaking medical research is conducted at Children’s; Torsten has been a direct recipient of some of this work. The catheterization procedure used to widen Torsten’s aortic valve as an infant was developed at Children’s more than 20 years ago. The method used for Torsten’s femoral artery bypass in 2014 had not been done before, and was published as a successful case study just this year. We are so grateful for the medical care Torsten received, and for the support our family was given at the hospital.
Please consider donating to out walk, to help the children and families at Boston Children’s and beyond.
