Matty is a patient of the Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center. He is diagnosed with Esophageal Atresia/Tracheoesophageal Fistula (EA/TEF) Type C, Type 1 Laryngeal Cleft, Tracheobroncomalacia, and tracheal diverticulum.
Matty has undergone numerous procedure and surgeries, and will continue to need this type of care for the rest of his life. He is our tiny superhero.
The surgery that effectively saved his life was created at Boston Children’s Hospital only 7 years ago. They are the global leader on EA/TEF.
Due to all of his health conditions, Matty is susceptible to chronic respiratory infections. The Pediatric Surgery Department, GI, and Pulmonary Specialists on his team have always gone above and beyond.
