Family and friends,
Hello. This Sunday, my family and I are participating in the Eversource Walk for Boston Children's Hospital.
We are motivated by the world-class care that our daughter, Annie, recieved at Boston Children's Hospital over the 11 years of her life. When Annie was born in 1993, Boston Children's was one only 2 hospitals in the world that did the surgery that Annie needed to survive. Today her cardiac condition, HLHS, is treated worldwide because of the skills learned by doctors who train at Boston Children's. Over that time, doctors at Children's pioneered new surgical approaches that either replaced the surgery that was available to Annie or reduced some of the long-term health risks associated with the previous approach. Children around the world have better options and better outcomes becuase of the continous research done at Boston Children's, in many areas in addition to cardiology, to constantly improve even their most creative and innovative approaches. Children's Hospital gave us the wonderful gift of a good life for Annie for which we will be eternally grateful.
April 2024 marked the 20th anniversary of Annie's death, and 31 years since she was born. I have set a goal to raise $20,000 in the 2024 walk to honor Annie's memory, to thank Children's Hospital for the 11 wonderful years that she was with us, and to help the Hospital continue providing similar help to other children and thier parents. Will you please support my fundraising? Click below to make a gift. I hope you'll consider supporting my efforts and making a donation today. Any amount makes a difference.
Thank you so much for you kindness and very best regards,
George Gorman
