I'm excited to be participating in my 5th Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital on June 9.
As a parent, I've always felt comforted (and a bit lucky) to know that a resource like Boston Children's Hospital was so close by, but never was that more so than when my cousin Molly welcomed her son Casey to the world.
Casey was born with a genetic disorder that compromised his lungs. Transferring to Boston Children's Hospital almost immediately following his birth, Casey was cared for by their amazing team for nearly 11 months, including a lung transplant. Unfortunately, Casey passed soon following his transfer to his rehabilitation facility but the grace and comfort the entire BCH team showed my cousin and her family was amazing. We'll never forget how you held them all through this difficult journey.
So now I walk for Casey's memory. Any contribution you can make will be much appreciated.
Every dollar I raise funds breakthrough research and vital care and support services for sick kids and their families. Your gift will:
- give children battling the most complex diseases treatments they can’t find anywhere else;
- help children in your town and across the world get a second chance;
- fuel 3,600+ researchers working to find cures;
- fund hospital activities like art and music programs to bring patients joy and hasten healing;
- help patient-families in crisis with urgent needs, including housing, food and clothing;
- bring crucial care to families through not one, but four, outpatient psychiatry clinics;
- and so much more.
Please support my fundraising and help the children and families at Boston Children’s and beyond.
