I'm participating in the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital on June 9 for the second year in a row in honor of my son Michael.
We were told at my anatomy scan that Michael would be born with bilateral clubfeet. When he arrived he was born with a right clubfoot but we could tell something else was going on. In addition to his weekly casting and tenotomy procedure to correct his clubfoot, Michael also had ultrasounds, X-rays, MRI’s and EMG testing done. These various scans and tests determined he had AMC also known as Arthrogryposis Congenital Multiplex.
Michael will continue his bracing and physical therapy journey until he can take steps on his own!
Every dollar I raise funds breakthrough research and vital care and support services for sick kids and their families. Your gift will:
- give children battling the most complex diseases treatments they can’t find anywhere else;
- help children in your town and across the world get a second chance;
- fuel 3,600+ researchers working to find cures;
- fund hospital activities like art and music programs to bring patients joy and hasten healing;
- help patient-families in crisis with urgent needs, including housing, food and clothing;
- bring crucial care to families through not one, but four, outpatient psychiatry clinics;
- and so much more.
Please support my fundraising and help the children and families at Boston Children’s and beyond.
