We are participating in the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital on June 9 because Boston Children's Hospital gave us so much hope and faith when after Brooks' diagnosis and we want to help more families have the same positive impact.
At Brooks' 20 week ultrasound, our local doctors noticed something was wrong with Brooks and recommended we go to Boston Children's Hospital to figure out what might be happening. At first they thought it was something else but the team ultimately determined he had CDH.
I can not say enough about how the hospital and their CDH team helped us feel confident in the treatment plan even with all the uncertainties that surrounded it. We were lucky in that Brooks had plenty of time to get big and strong and we were able to get him strong enough to go home in 40 days.
It was the hardest time our family has endured with Brooks' older sister still at home but Boston Children's Hospital did everything in their power to reduce our stress and give us the confidence we needed that our baby boy would be okay
Every dollar I raise funds breakthrough research and vital care and support services for sick kids and their families. Your gift will:
- give children battling the most complex diseases treatments they can’t find anywhere else;
- help children in your town and across the world get a second chance;
- fuel 3,600+ researchers working to find cures;
- fund hospital activities like art and music programs to bring patients joy and hasten healing;
- help patient-families in crisis with urgent needs, including housing, food and clothing;
- bring crucial care to families through not one, but four, outpatient psychiatry clinics;
- and so much more.
Please support my fundraising and help the children and families at Boston Children’s and beyond.
